ITINERARY
DAY 1: HA NOI ARRIVAL (-/-)
Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide holding a sign with your name on it.
After approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour transfer, you will be at your hotel for check-in.
Hanoi or “River-bound City” as its name literally means, is Vietnam’s capital with a thousand-year-old history dating back to 1010. The city’s fascinating beauty which is characterized by unique cultural relics, ancient streets of antique houses, elegant French colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and romantic lakes has made it one of the most charming cities of Asia.
DAY 2: HANOI – SAPA BY SHUTTLE BUS – CAT CAT VILLAGE
Enjoy your breakfast and a bit of free time in Hanoi, or settle into the car with a convenient breakfast takeaway as you get ready to catch the early drive to Sapa.
The morning unfolds gently around you—whether you’re savoring a quiet moment at the hotel or watching the city slowly awaken through the window—setting the perfect tone for your journey toward the misty mountains of northern Vietnam.
The scenic drive takes approximately 5 hours, offering changing landscapes as you leave the bustling capital behind and head toward the serene highlands.
A car will take you 3 km out of Sapa through a hilly, picturesque landscape to Cat Cat Village, home to the Hmong ethnic minority.
Wander along stone-paved paths lined with traditional wooden houses, terraced fields, and small workshops where villagers continue age-old crafts such as brocade weaving and silver making.
You’ll have the chance to see Hmong women skillfully working at their looms and learn how these beautiful textiles are created.
Continue walking deeper into the village to reach Tien Sa Waterfall, a scenic spot where a small French-built hydropower station from the early 1900s still stands as a quiet reminder of the past.
Enjoy the cool mountain air, the sound of rushing water, and the peaceful rhythm of local life before making your way back to Sapa town.
Spend the remainder of the day at leisure and unwind at your hotel for an overnight stay in Sapa.
DAY 3: SAPA - FULL DAY TREKKING LAO CHAI - TA VAN - GIANG TA CHAI
Morning: Lao Chai – Tavan Trekking
- Depart from Sapa town by car to Lao Chai village, following the road down the hill. Views of the Muong Hoa valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields can be seen from this road.
- Along the road, people from many ethnic groups (H’mong, Zay, and Red Dao) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits and sweets.
- Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive in the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers.
- After that, continue by trekking about 4 km to Ta Van village which is clusters of rural houses embraced by the wavy curves of the terraced paddy fields. Villagers here are the Giay ethnic minority people, a small group only inhabiting Northern highlands of Vietnam.
- Take a break and have a picnic lunch prepared by your local guide in a local house.
Afternoon: Giang Ta Chai trekking
- After lunch, hike for 3 km over hills and through a bamboo forest. Stop at a waterfall to rest before entering Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dao ethnic minority people.
- Explore the village and observe villagers in their daily life activities. You will be picked up and return to Sa Pa by car.
DAY 4: SAPA - TRANFER BACK TO HA NOI BY SHUTTLE BUS
Morning, have breakfast at hotel then transfer back to Hanoi, it takes 5 hours by driving, upon arrival check in hotel and free at leisure.
