Vietnam grants 45-day visa waivers to citizens from 12 countries
Starting August 15, 2025, citizens from 12 countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland, will be granted visa-free entry for stays of up to 45 days in Vietnam for tourism purposes, regardless of passport types.
This policy will remain in effect until August 14, 2028, giving travelers and the tourism industry a solid three-year window to plan longer, more immersive trips.
Following a successful trial under Vietnam’s 2025 tourism promotion & development program, this move signals a strong, positive outlook for the country’s tourism sector. With the country already welcoming 15 million visitors in just the first half of 2025, this new policy is expected to drive even greater interest and growth.
