Vietnam extend visa waiver for citizens of 12 countries until 2028

The Vietnamese government issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP on March 7, 2025, granting visa exemptions for citizens of 12 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. This exemption will be in effect from March 15, 2025, to March 14, 2028.

The Resolution specifies that citizens from these countries will be able to enter Vietnam without a visa for a stay of up to 45 days, regardless of the passport type or reason for entry, provided they meet all the entry requirements set by Vietnamese law.

This visa exemption policy will be applicable from March 15, 2025, to March 14, 2028, with the possibility of extension in accordance with Vietnamese legal provisions.
