Upon arrival at Siem Reap airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly tour guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in and refreshment.

 

In the afternoon, our guide will pick you up at the hotel for a short visit to Bakheng Temple, where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset view from Bakheng Hill. Tonight, indulge in our welcome dinner accompanied by an Apsara Dance Show.

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, start your visit to the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm. Enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers embrace the stone foundations of the structure, giving the impression of human creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We will explore this masterpiece, as well as some surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Ta Keo, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevado, and Srah Srang. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

 

In the afternoon, we will visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, established in the 12th century. Start at the South Gate, adorned with enormous statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. Continue to the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. Explore the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Finally, head to Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, renowned for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology.

Breakfast will be at the hotel. We will depart for Battambang (Driving distance: 175km = 3 hours), the second largest city and the largest rice producer in Cambodia. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for refreshment and lunch at a local restaurant.

 

In the afternoon, visit the archaeological provincial museum before heading to Ek Phnom Temple, built in the 11th century. Explore the colonial-style houses along the Sangke River. On the way back, you can visit traditional Cambodian houses and an artisan factory that produces rice flaky cakes.

In the morning, join a Cambodian cooking class for three hours. Begin with a guided trip to the local market, where you will learn to prepare a four-course meal, including a dessert. You will also receive a recipe leaflet with all the necessary instructions to recreate your dishes at home. You will enjoy the meal you’ve cooked for lunch.

 

In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax and explore at your leisure.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer back to Phnom Penh (Driving distance: 291km = 6 hours). On the way, stop at a pottery village in Kampong Chhnang to admire the hard work of local families who create pottery by hand for a living. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Breakfast will be at the hotel. Today, start your full-day tour with the first stop at the Royal Palace, built in 1866, and the Silver Pagoda located within the palace compound. The Silver Pagoda is named for its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. Continue to the National Museum, dedicated exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period (9th to 15th century), with some dating back to the 4th century. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

 

In the afternoon, visit the Central Market (Psar Thmei), a large market constructed in 1937, shaped like a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways filled with countless stalls. The four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are bustling with vendors selling goods ranging from gold and silver, antique coins, money exchange, books, flowers, food, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood, and many other products. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Sihanoukville by private car. This is the smoothest road in Cambodia, built by the USA, and the journey will take about 4.5 hours. Upon arrival in Sihanoukville, check in at your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
