After breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver and start full day to explore Bangkok’s highlights and history the heart of the city. A visit to the Royal Grand Palace, the nation’s landmark and most praised royal monument in Thailand, with the enclosed and dazzling Wat Phra Keo with its revered Emerald Buddha, the Golden Chedi, the Pantheon of the Chakri Kings and the Eight Colored Towers, is a must. In Thailand by many, it is considered to be a living example of classical Siamese Court, being the former residence of the kings of Thailand. Wat Pho is also regarded as the first center of public education and is sometimes called ‘Thailand’s first university’. Mural paintings, inscriptions, and statues found in the temple-educated people on varied subjects such as literature, warfare, archaeology, astronomy, geology, meditation and to be considered, home of the Thai traditional massage. Here, you will enjoy a 30-minutes’ Thai massage as an excellent break after a morning sightseeing.

 

Afternoon, enjoy a trip along the bustling Chao Phya River and the quiet Klongs (canals) in a long tail boat or big boat. We bring you to a more traditional way of living, more serene and traditional, away from all the high-rise and modern buildings of Bangkok City Centre, as we gently pass Thonburi residential areas. A stop will be made at the “Temple of Dawn” (officially named Wat Arun). Finally, a visit to the Flower and vegetable market will round off this day. Located close to the Chao Phraya River, this part of Bangkok brings you to a rural piece of Bangkok where they have a vast selection of all kinds of flowers, especially orchids and tropical flowers and see how the merchants create very special flower garlands. The end of this Bangkok day ends at the Golden Mountain.

 

Noted: Photography is permitted in the Royal Palace Grounds and in the compounds of the Emerald Buddha Temple, but not inside the buildings.

Dress code: Please dress respectfully by not wearing sleeveless, shorts or sandals, when visiting the Grand Palace and temple complex.

Tours on Sundays: The inner courts of Grand Palace are frequently closed on Sundays; we recommend not to book this excursion on Sundays to avoid disappointment.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by our guide and driver and start our adventure: drive to the former capital of Thailand, visit Bang Pa In (Summer Palace) and the ruins of the Ancient City of Ayutthaya.

 

A full day tour brings you to the former capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya, situated approximately 75 kilometers north of Bangkok and one of the destinations you must see. The mixing of cultures in Ayutthaya began in the mid-16th century when ships from Ayutthaya plied the Asian seas, trading with neighboring countries. When the Dutch began showing up in the 17th century, Ayutthaya became a port city and trade routes were extended to China, Japan, Indonesia, Portugal, Holland, and France and up to the Scandinavian countries later. Although the ancient villages of foreign traders lining the Chao Phraya riverbanks were abandoned when the city was sacked by Burmese troops in 1767, some remnants survive to showcase the city’s past glory. The tour starts at the Summer Palace of the late King Rama V, commonly known as “Bang Pa-In”, which is another touch of beauty. You continue on to the magnificent ruins of early splendor that Ayutthaya is famous for. We will pass or visit all the most impressive ruins of this World Heritage Site to take sufficient pictures. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ayutthaya.

 

After the tour, transfer to hotel in Bangkok for relax.

This tour takes you to the world-famous bridge on the River Kwai, built during World War II by the prisoners of war. The bridge is located near the town of Kanchanaburi, 130 kilometers west of Bangkok.

 

You will visit the well-kept Wat Cemetery of Allied Prisoners, which contain the graves of an estimated 9,000 Allied soldiers who lost their lives while building the bridge and constructing the notorious “Death Railway” which the Japanese had hoped to stretch all the way to the Burmese border. This tour will bring you also closer to the past, as paying a visit to the JEATH Museum (the name “JEATH” is derived from Japan, England, America/Australia, Thailand, and Holland), where the past has been created and relived with pictures and artefacts out of this time.

 

Experience a train ride over the original Death Railway track is enclosed in this excursion while a sumptuous lunch awaits the clients upon arrival at the disembarkation station along the railway track. We will return to Bangkok in the late afternoon to your booked hotel.

Morning, have breakfast at your hotel before checking out and get picked up by our driver then transfer to border between Thailand and Cambodia (Aranyaprathet/Poipet Border). Upon arrival at Poi Pet Border, you will meet our driver and friendly local guide waiting you at the border to welcome and pick you up. Then transfer to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you are directly transferred to your comfortable hotel for check in.

Breakfast at the hotel and visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, and the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor, Angkor Wat, the temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

 

Afternoon, visit Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. After the visit, Ta Prohm if time and energy permitted visit Old Market for some souvenirs for friends and families.

After breakfast, visit the temple of Banteay Srei temple (women’s castle), which is considered a classic pearl in the crown of Khmer art. Then continue to visit Banteay Samre, established in the third quarter of the 12th century. It consists of a central temple consisting of two four-winged library a hall before and after example of very good southern accompanied reservations.

 

In the afternoon, you will take a Boat Trip to the Tonle Sap, about 16 km from the southeastern city of Siem Reap. Here is a good choice for you to visit the floating village. This is a relatively small village, providing a good insight into the Tonle Sap village lifestyle. The village is almost entirely in fishing and related activities. If the time permitted, before returning to the hotel, we will stop at Old Market. You will find artifacts, gold and silver jewelry, precious stones, silk, stone, and wood carvings, as well as shirts, CDs, and other memorabilia. Then, back to the Hotel.

After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up at hotel lobby, and transfer to Phnom Penh, it is about 320km and takes about 5.5 hours to transfer.

 

Afternoon, start a half-day city tour including the Victory Monument, and the National Museum (called as Musee des Beaux-Arts). Next, you’ll visit a French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, who designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art – notably sculptures – from throughout the ages. You’ll also discover the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside includes a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90 kilograms and a small 17th-century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. End of the day stop at the Central market and at the right time to view the tree-lined avenues of the city during sunset (afternoon tour) then back to the hotel.

Transfer with our guide and driver to the Bavet/Moc Bai Border, approximately 4-hour drive. Clear immigration at the border then transfer to visit Cu Chi tunnels, which were once a major underground hideout and resistance base of Viet Cong forces during the two wars against the French and later on Americans. The tunnels, entirely hand-dug, formed a highly intricate network of interlinked multilevel passageways at times stretched as far as the Cambodian border and totaling over 120 km in length. Its complexity was beyond imagination containing meeting rooms, kitchens, wells, clinics, schools, depots, trenches, and emergency exits all aimed for guerrilla warfare. The tunnels were deep and strong enough to withstand destructive bombings and self-contained enough to outlast prolonged sieges. Back to Ho Chi Minh City, check in hotel and free at leisure.

Meet our guide at your hotel and take a full city tour. Start with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, which features an extensive collection of exhibits including weaponry, photos, and documentation on Vietnam’s wars with the French and Americans. Continue to Reunification Palace, which was formerly the South Vietnam President’s residence and symbol of the Southern Administration’s reign until end of April 1975.

 

Afternoon, you will visit Saigon Central Post Office, a fine colonial building which was designed and built in the early 20th Century by the famous French architect Gustave Eiffel. Continue on to Chinatown, Thien Hau pagodas, which is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Explore the highlights of this fascinating area, beginning with intricate friezes, carved tableau and impressive incense coils make for some great photos. Then observe street life through the narrow streets to Binh Tay market that sells everything from clothes to dried squid.
