The journey begins with a gentle electric-cart ride followed by a 20-minute uphill walk on a paved path to reach the cave mouth. Since Paradise Cave is a popular “mass-tourism” site, it is best to recommend early morning or late afternoon visits to avoid the largest crowds and the tropical heat.

Dark Cave – Action-Packed Adventure through Mud and Water

Hang Toi, or Dark Cave, is the most adrenaline-fueled destination in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, offering a thrilling 3-to-4-hour multi-activity experience. This moderate-difficult adventure begins with a 400-meter zipline ride across the turquoise Chay River, followed by a swim to the cave entrance and a trek through the pitch-black cavern with only headlamps for light. The undeniable highlight is the deep-cave mud bath, where guests can float in thick, buoyant mud before kayaking back and enjoying river-based obstacle courses. The world-renowned Son Doong Cave Expedition is officially sold out through 2027 in spite of its price at $3,000. Yes, you heard that right – if your clients are dreaming of stepping into the largest cave on Earth, they must now plan at least two years in advance. This 6-day journey is classified as a Level 6 expedition, the highest difficulty level, requiring a 25km jungle trek and a thrilling 80-meter descent into a cave so vast it has its own weather system and ancient forest. With only 1,000 permits issued per year to protect its fragile ecosystem, this is the most exclusive adventure in Asia. A rigorous mandatory health check is required before booking can be confirmed. As an alternative option, consider Hang En or Tu Lan Cave.
