Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and start a ride today to mostly downhill through the suburb of Sa Pa. You’ll pass by Sa Pa town before heading to Ta Phin village where you will witness the daily life of the Red Dao and Black H'mong minorities. Ta Phin is home to two different ethnic minority groups, the Black Hmong and the Red Dao. Despite living together in the same place, each group has maintained their own customs over generations allowing now cultural mix. Though both groups wear colorful clothes, the Red Dao women are often most recognizable for their signature bright red turbans. Walk around the village to learn about how they live and trade by making embroidered fabric items by hand. Interact with villagers while visiting their houses. They may offer you the bath service with local herbs if you want to try. You will later get on the car for the journey back to Sa Pa.

The ride will take you into one of the most beautiful valleys in the North Western of Vietnam. Muong Hoa is a farmland to quite a few ethnic minority groups and thus housing the largest colony of terraced paddy fields in the area. Enjoy the stunning view of the imposing mountains and of the terraced fields’ soft contours embracing the hillsides, take photos then from your entry point to the valley, you swerve to a dirt which sneaks through rice paddy terraces, through the valley and cross its other side to get Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong minority people where you will have a chance to observe its inhabitants, the Giay people belonging to a very small minority group only found in Northern highlands of Vietnam.
Enjoy excellent views over huge rice paddy terraces and ride to Ta Van, where the car returns you to Sa Pa.

Note: There is a car escorted along the ride except inside of Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. The trail sometimes is very hard, steep and muddy during rainy time, our guide will help you to avoid by following another better road.

You will ride slowly through a narrow road between two mountain ranges of Hoang Lien Son and Den Thang to reach Muong Hoa valley, one of the most beautiful valleys of the area.
It is a farmland to quite a few ethnic minority groups and thus housing the largest colony of terraced paddy fields in the area. Enjoy the stunning view of the imposing mountains and of the terraced fields’ soft contours embracing the hillsides, take photos then from your entry point to the valley, ride through the valley and cross its other side to get Lao Chai and Ta Van villages of the Black Hmong minority people where you will have a chance to observe its inhabitants, the Giay people belonging to a very small minority group only found in Northern highlands of Vietnam. At Ta Van village, follow the main road and continue the ride to Topas Ecolodge which consists of 25 individual lodges placed in a circle around the hills. From the Lodge, there are breathtaking views over the scenic valleys below, which are home to villages of Red Dao, Tay and Xa Pho minorities. Sit down and taste Vietnamese tea, chat with local people then car brings you back to Sa Pa.
