Witness people crowding around open-back trucks, sellers & buyers transfer vegetables, flowers, and fruit into numerous markets in the city center. This is far-and-away one of the most impressive markets in North Vietnam. Continue back to downtown, enjoy Pho, Vietnamese's famous breakfast dish at a local restaurant. Afterwards, take a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoy the fresh morning atmosphere. Here, you will do some Tai Chi exercises under the guidance of a local teacher. Stop in a cafe, sit down for a cup of coffee while watching how the Hanoians start a day or Touring through the Old Quarter, famous for its ancient streets representing traditional trades from the past by cyclo.
The tour continues to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex which features the life of Ho Chi Minh, the nation’s founder. Explore Ba Dinh Square, an important point of pilgrimage for many Vietnamese, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum and the rural style Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where he lived and worked. Stop by one of Hanoi’s icons, the One Pillar Pagoda, built in the 11th Century in dedication to Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara or Buddha of Compassion and reminiscent of a lotus blossom rising from a pond.
Continue to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. You will have lunch at Bun Cha Huong Lien, the famous local spot where President Barack Obama dined with Anthony Bourdain.
